01 The Fundraising Stage
An update on the web series: we are now in the fundraising phase, seeking donations, partnerships, and support to bring Copenhagen Expats to life.
By making a donation, you can support an international, women-led team that is building something from the ground up.
There is something particularly powerful about this project: while we tell these stories on screen, many of us are living out versions of them behind the scenes building careers far from the places we once called home and navigating what it means to create a new sense of belonging.
If you have ever moved abroad, are living that experience now, or plan to do so, you likely understand the impact of this journey.
The story is set in Copenhagen, but the phenomenon is global.
And this is where I believe the conversation becomes bigger than just a web series.
People often ask me:
What is the next trend?
The next trend is already underway; we simply need to recognize the signs.
The way brands build communities and cultural relevance is shifting, and the methods by which stories are created, distributed, and discovered are evolving with independent productions that launch on social media playing a key role in this transformation.
This creates an interesting opportunity for brands.
There is genuine value in supporting emerging projects and young creative talent from the very beginning: following an idea as it develops, participating in the creative process, and being willing to engage with something new before its potential becomes obvious to everyone.

Supporting emerging culture is also a way to engage with trends.
Audiences are increasingly interested not only in what a brand sells but also in its creative direction, the projects it supports, and the communities it chooses to embrace.
Partnerships convey a message.
Over time, the cultural projects a brand chooses to support can become part of how people perceive it.
So, if you ask me, “What should we keep an eye on next?”
Start by paying attention to the new generation of independent narratives created for the platforms where audiences already spend their time.
Copenhagen Expats is part of that conversation.
Consider this an invitation to explore the production, meet the people behind it, and decide how you or your brand can become part of this story.
